A big number on a dashboard is only useful if you can trust it, and you can only trust it if you can check it. WIMM's dashboard already splits your month into three honest figures, Spending, Debt Payments, and Income, each counted separately so a credit card payment never masquerades as a latte. The next question is always the same. What actually went into that number. Now you can just tap the card and find out.

From a total to the receipts in one click

Hover over the Spending, Debt Payments, or Income card and a small arrow appears in the corner. That is the signal that the card is a doorway. Click it and WIMM opens your transactions list already filtered to exactly the rows that make up that card, for the same month the dashboard is showing. You land on the itemized detail, not a fresh search you have to build yourself.

The list you see is the number, unpacked. Add up the amounts and they reconcile to the figure on the card you came from. Nothing is hidden and nothing is padded, so the total on the dashboard and the rows on the screen always tell the same story.

One detail worth knowing. Refunds and reversals are part of the truth, so they come along too. If you returned something and got money back, that credit shows up in the Spending list as a line that reduces the total, exactly the way it reduced your real spending. The same goes for a reversed deposit inside Income. WIMM would rather show you the reconciling credit than quietly drop rows to make the arithmetic look tidier. A quick note at the top of the list reminds you when refunds or reversals are in play.

A labeled chip so you always know where you are

When you arrive from a card, the transactions page shows a small labeled chip near the filters, something like Spending · Jun 2026. It is there so you never lose the thread. The chip tells you two things at once, which slice you are looking at and which month, so the reduced list never feels like a mystery.

Done inspecting? The chip has an x. Click it and the drill-down clears in one move, dropping you back to your full transaction history. You are never trapped in a filtered view, and you never have to reconstruct where you started.

Tip

Every filter on the transactions page lives in the URL, so a drill-down is shareable and bookmarkable. Copy the link to your June spending and it opens right back to that exact filtered view.

The Debt Payments card does a little extra

Clicking the Debt Payments card drills into the payments that made up the figure, the same as the other two. It also carries a second small link, Manage debts, that sends you straight to WIMM's Debt Reducer. One card, two useful directions. Inspect what you paid this month, or jump to the plan for what comes next.

The Debt Payments list is payments only. Money you borrowed, like a new loan landing in your account, is not spending you did and it is not a payment you made, so it stays out of this view. What you see is the money that actually left to pay down what you owe.

What is clickable and what is not

Not every tile is a doorway, and that is on purpose. The Net Worth card links to your full net worth page, since that is where the story of what you own and owe lives. The Spending, Debt Payments, and Income cards each drill into their transactions. The Net and Savings Rate cards are calculations of the other numbers rather than a row set of their own, so they are not clickable, there would be nothing single to open.

A number you can click is a number you can trust.

This is the quiet advantage of building the dashboard and the transactions list on the same source of truth. In a lot of apps the summary and the detail are computed by different code, and when they disagree you are left guessing which one is right. Monarch and Copilot both let you tap into categories, and WIMM takes the same idea and holds itself to a stricter promise. The card and the list are the same rows, every time.

Try it on real numbers

The fastest way to feel it is to click around a dashboard that is already full of data. Open the live demo at app.wimm.money/demo?mode=transactions, tap the Spending card, and watch the exact purchases behind the total appear. Then clear the chip and try Income. Every card that holds real transactions will open them for you, free for everyone, on every plan.
